Nov Superstar – Environment

Valerie Solis, Librarian at Leila P. Cowart Elementary is this month’s SEL Guiding Principles Superstar for Environment. Mrs. Solis has created a Media Center that is inviting and engaging to students of all ages at Leila P. Cowart Elementary. She has so resourcefully prepared an age and developmentally appropriate area for play while Pre-K students spend their time in the library. From a classroom management viewpoint, this appropriate play not only allows for socialization, but allows her to spend time with each child as they select their book. Congratulations to Mrs. Solis for creating a Media Center that triggers a positive learning experience for children from the start of their educational journey.
