Nov Superstar – Resilience

Celeste Hlavenka, Nurse at Bayles Elementary is this month’s SEL Guiding Principles Superstar for Resilience. An article in Verywellmind.com by Kendra Cherry (dated 9/29/19) states that resilient people can maintain control of a difficult situation and think of new ways to tackle problems. Celeste Hlavenka, the nurse at Bayles Elementary is a shining star for this Guiding Principle. She has overcome challenging life situations with grace, and continues to demonstrate compassion and care with the children who visit the campus clinic daily. Ms. Hlavenka identifies as a survivor, and we are grateful for her outstanding example of resilience.
