Mike Shuffield, Lead Site Guide from Big Thought at Lorenzo DeZavala Elementary, is this month’s SEL Guiding Principles Relationships Superstar. Mike works in the Thriving Minds After School program at DeZavala and knows all of the students exceptionally well. He always provides great context to a each student’s journey when they have fallen off their path and knows exactly how to interact with them to lead back in the right direction.
Mike is usually seen rotating between different classes, holding conversations and checking in with students and he certainly sets an great example, for both DeZavala’s students and staff. Way to go Mr. Shuffield!!!
