Counselor at Bayles Elementary, Narghis Moon, is the Guiding Principles Superstar for Environment. She has been very instrumental in creating a welcoming online environment. She created a Counselor Corner newsletter for her campus teachers to access motivational resources, including articles and helpful information. She also leads the campus Climate and Culture committee and continues to promote SEL practices for all students virtually.
By providing prompts that teachers can use on their Zoom calls they have with their students, she has found a way to systematize Morning Meetings and has not let the distance we experience through online learning get in the way of creating a welcoming environment for learning.
