Earth Day “Trashion Show”

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It’s also a time to  focus on sustainability and recycling to incorporate STEM activities. Webster Wildcats participated in their own “Trashion Show” virtually to commemorate Earth Day by using recycled and reused products.

The virtual event was held Friday, May 24, following Earth Day. Ten students and  staff showcased their unique designs using a virtual stage.

The Principal and other staff judged the fashion show competition encouraging students as they walk the runway in their “Trashion” masterpieces.

Parents and students really enjoyed working together on the project, while also teaching youth the importance of recycling and keeping our earth clean. The designs were featured on the Dallas ISD school’s website and the weekly staff newsletter.
