Perspective taking is seeing things as others woul Perspective taking is seeing things as others would see them – and recognizing that others have different thoughts and feelings from you. Perspective taking encourages empathy and reduces conflict. ⁠

To practice perspective taking, try pointing out how others might be feeling in a situation, or discuss with young learners why book characters are doing and feeling certain things.⁠
